Judge Audrey Creighton of the Montgomery County District Court, and representatives from the Montgomery County legal community will present an information session on the Montgomery County Summer Scholars Pipeline program.

The Summer Scholars Pipeline Program is a concerted effort by Montgomery County, Maryland’s legal community to ensure the hiring and subsequent success of diverse attorneys in the County. The Program will partner the specialty bar associations with regional law schools to identify 30 second year law students to compete for up to 10 summer intern positions within selected Montgomery County law firms.

Each student will be paid a stipend of $4000 for the summer internship.

The Defense Research Institute (DRI) is accepting applications for its annual Law Student Diversity Scholarship program open to incoming second and third-year African American, Hispanic, Asian, and Native American students.  Incoming second and third-year female law students are also eligible, regardless of race or ethnicity.

Two (2) scholarships in the amount of $10,000 each will be awarded.

The Samuel I. “Sandy” Rosenberg Scholarship is awarded annually to a 3L or recent UB graduate who has demonstrated a commitment to public service. This $1,500 award is designed to help a future or newly barred attorney pursue a public interest career.
